Purchasing beer and liquor in San Juan

Where can you purchase beer and good quality liquor in San Juan? We are staying at the Caribe Hilton.

Prices there are tax free and about half what you wil have to pay in a local store for liquor. Beer can be bought almost everywhere. If you want some before the cruise, try Pueblo supermarket.

How about wine? Also sold at Pueblo? Is that a large grocery chain or a convenience store size?

We are sailing 12/26, so we are wondering what will be available Christmas night or the next day (Sunday).

the closest one to your hotel is in Avenida De Diego (check map) It was a Pueblo until a year ago but now it is a Super Max.

that specific new pharmacy sells but has a limited inventory, nothing compared to supermarkets.

The last time I was in PR, I went to the Walgreens in the Cadardo area and they sold liquor

I located the Super Max nearest to the Caribe Hilton at 114 Ave. De Diego across from the Doubletree Hilton in the Condado area. You wa;l along Ashford until you come to de Diego and turn right. You can probably walk there but may need to get a drive back if you purchase heavy items. Can be found on Google Maps by typing: supermax ave de diego san juan puerto rico in the search box.

Ain't true, Went to the walgreens on Ashford just east of Cafe de Angle restaurant (went there twice) and LaConcha Hotel/casino.

 

No Booze but I did get some Coke Zero and water for the cruise.
