Question about Suites?

Sailor's~~can anyone explain to me why the most expensive suites on ships are always the forward ones?

There must be a reason......beats me???

I'm guessing it's for the unobstructed forward views, that are essentially what you would see from the bridge.

Denyse~~I don't think I would enjoy the owner's suites forward on a Crossing, but one certainly would be comfortable in the Med or in the Carribean! I attended a cocktail party in suite 03 on a Crossing.......I stayed seated on the sofa! No drinks were spilled that evening, but it was rough........

Martha, I have had a similar experience on the Northern crossing while visiting in one of the owner's suites. We all nearly spilled our drinks! Denyse

my guess is that youre paying more for the space than the location and in designing the ships it was more conducive to allocate the space forward. also it allowed them to design the larger suites with more interesting wall lines that conform with the bow of the ship. having said that i could be completely wrong!!!!!!

This is not just on the "Triplets". Almost ALL cruiselines have their most expensive suites high and forward.

Celebrity's Penthouse Suites on the "M" class ships, which are probably some of the grandest suites afloat, are aft and at deck 6.

The Balmoral and Sandringham Duplexes on Queen mary 2 are all the way aft on Decks 9 and 10 ( connected by a spiral stair).
