What's the way to go. Use US dollars or buy Euros when on SXM? Thank you!

Never mind the Euros. Your dollars will do just fine.

The currency on the Dutch side is tied to the Dollar, so there is absolutely no problem there. On the French side, there are some vendors that will accept the Dollar at par with the Euro (GREAT DEAL) or not (YOU'RE LOSING BIG TIME).

 

I, personally, would just use dollars and spend them on the Dutch side.
