replenishing sundry items?

Never have been on our cruises but we have never asked either.

I have been on 5 Carnival cruises, and no, those items have not been replenished. However, being what they are, ie; samples of pepcid AC, sample tubes of toothpaste, a couple of razors, and some things I have forgotten, it is no loss. Nothing of value or interest in those baskets for me. JMHO.:)

Never have been replenished but do see those items on the stewards cart so figure if you asked they would be replaced.

Yes, if you ask "Stewart" nicely. ;) On my last cruise, I needed an extra razor, and Stewart gave me 3 or 4.

Stewart will give you more, just ask.. I save it for weekend sojourns, and give to my pilot/flying DH for his "ready" kit

On one of my cruises we asked and the steward told us no. They are only filled on the first day.

Ours were refilled on the Elation in 7/09 but not on the Valor in 10/09 or the Liberty in 8/10. I use the hair products just to change things up, and either my husband or I use the razors as well. (We don't depend on these items, but they are nice to use for a change of pace.)

No they are not. We forgot to pack toothpaste one cruise and asked for more toothpaste samples and the steward said he couldnot replenish the samples.

We have never seen them replaced, but have never asked also. We tend to buy the travel size items, and buy enough that will last at least two weeks. We split them amongst the carry on and checked bags so we wont have a hassle at the airport.

All you have to to is ask and they will be restocked. At least that has been the case on every Carnival cruise that I have taken.
