cruisingengineer Posted November 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2010 I know I could take a taxi but as a woman traveling solo I would like the security of of a private car transfer. Does anyone have a company to recommend?
BenFlorida Posted November 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2010 The traffic from EZE is pretty heavy from the EZE airport during rush hour. It can take 2 to 25 hours to travel 25km. http://www.bilingualdriver.com.ar/
parischris Posted November 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2010 I know I could take a taxi but as a woman traveling solo I would like the security of of a private car transfer. Does anyone have a company to recommend? I am also a solo female traveler. I recently used Manuel Tienda Leon - booked on line and they were waiting with a driver at their office in the arrivals hall. No problems at all. Transfer from EZE are not cheap - I have seen them priced at everything from $US50 to $US120. From memory (it was only a month ago :-) ) it was $US55 for a private car through Manuel Tienda Leon. BenFlorida Posted November 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2010 i meant on the previous post 2 to 2.5 hours not 25 hours. My wife and i are flying into AEP but apparently there is a risk of it still being closed as of Dec 6th. So in looking at that situation I saw this: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/argentina/1018477-premium-car-service-eze.html

Does anyone have a company to recommend? I know what you mean, as I am also a solo female traveler! I have booked John Boyle (Buenos Aires Taxi), but not going until late January, so can't tell you how good he is yet! He did reply promptly, though. His charge is $50 US. laurelhollow Posted November 25, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 25, 2010 Just had a quote from tour operator of $50 with driver proficient in english. As another single female traveler I considered it a good price and a good value. I know what you mean, as I am also a solo female traveler! I have booked John Boyle (Buenos Aires Taxi), but not going until late January, so can't tell you how good he is yet! He did reply promptly, though. His charge is $50 US. CRUZGAL53 Posted November 25, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 25, 2010 We are using InterHabit for our transfer from the airport to the hotel and the hotel to the ship http://www.interhabit.com. They are great to work with and we were able to pay and get a voucher. Prices are good! pmacher61 Posted November 29, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2010 Manuel Tiendo Leon taxi desk in EZE to Centro/Palermo/Recoleta = approx. 140 pesos or around $35. Radio taxi ( Premium 5238-0000) Centro/Palermo/etc to EZE = 122.80 pesos for normal service or 150 pesos for an exec car with water, wifi, etc. Both safe.
