Port of MIA (Rental Cars)

Can anyone share their experience in dropping off a rental car at or near the Port of MIA? Which car rental companies have facilities at the port? OR do we need to use the airport and then take a shuttle to the port? How log would it typically take to get from the MIA airport to the port? Thanks.

Have not used them in a long time, but both Hertz and Avis have downtown Miami locations close to POM -- a $10 cab ride if a shuttle is not offered. Good luck!:)

Hi, We too are leaving from POM and Hertz has a location near the POM with shuttle service to and from the port - 354 southeast 1st street 786 - 425 - 2515. One needs to exit the terminal and catch shuttle bus to the location. It runs Wed - Monday every half hour 8 - 4 pm.Hope this is helpful as we have rented from Hertz going to and from POM. Rates were really good.

I have been told that Alamo will shuttle you from MIA to POM but l cant find this out for definate. Im hiring in the Uk and driving to POM to drop of the rental and then want to rent again when we get off the cruise. Does anyone have more info on this please :D

I just reserved a rental car with Hertz. It's a mid-sze and the rate was US$60.00 per day for the weekend (with my discount). They have a free shuttle that will take us to the POM. I have been told that the POM is less than 10 minutes away. It's the Hertz located at 354 Southeast 1st Street, MIA. Thanks to csunshine860 for the recommendation. Good luck.

Dollar will shuttle you in both directions-for some reason Alamo will only shuttle you from the port not to it:confused:
