margincall Posted November 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2010 I have seen pictures of the Atlantis ladder but not the semi sub in Cozumel-is it a similar type of ladder? also i had read somewhere that there can be more motion on the semi sub(for those prone to motion sickness) than the atlantis-Is that true? wondering because the savings for 2 people is about 100.00 taking the semi sub-we will actually snorkel 2 days earlier in Roatan and just wanted a relaxing trip this day
Law5Guy Posted November 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2010 What is the "Atlantis ladder?" Is is a structure? Something you ride in/on? I am familiar with the semi-submersible vehicles, but can't figure out what the ladder is.
frangran Posted November 24, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2010 We were on the semi-sub in May & got quite seasick, along with a number of other people. I'd recommend that you take medication if you have any trouble with motion sickness. Other than that, it was very fascinating & enjoyable. I don't know what you mean by Atlantis, though. Atlantis is a company that has submarines throughout the Caribbean that are used to take tourists undersea to see the reefs and sea life. You have to climb down a steep and narrow ladder to get into the sub. The OP wanted to know if the semi-sub in Cozumel has a similar entrance. And I would like to know too! We did the semi-sub in Cozumel last December. The Nautilus, I believe. Yes, there was a narrow ladder, but it was very short. There was an older lady behind us traveling solo who used a cane, and she didn't have any trouble with it.
