coffeebean Posted November 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2010 We just booked Oasis on deck 8, mid ship, ocean view balcony. Just wondering how close the life boats are to our deck. Thanks. I'm so excited... finally going on this awesome ship.

coffeebean Posted November 17, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted November 17, 2010 Deck five. Thank you. We decided on deck 8 because we want to take one last stroll in Central Park every evening before going back to the cabin and not having to use the stairs or elevators. Have I said, "I'm so excited" yet???

coffeebean Posted November 17, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted November 17, 2010 Central Park at night was beautiful. Very peaceful. I've read there are clear lights in the trees all the time. Just wondering what extra touches Central Park will have for Christmas.

I think that was the case - the lighting was the best part. And if you look WAY up to the top of the ship on the inside there are beautiful lights as well. Yes during the inaugural sailing last year on Dec 5 they had beautiful poinsettias. There were also some nice Christmas trees in the promenade.
