St John's Island Tour

Has anyone hired a taxi on St Johns to give an island tour, how much would it cost? Are there taxis waiting by the ferry dock to offer tours?

Yes, there are open air taxis waiting by the dock on St. John at Cruz Bay. We found that they usually wait until they have a full vehicle before leaving. When we were there a couple of years ago, we went up to Cinnamon Bay and others were dropped off along the way. I imagine you could negotiate with a driver to give you a tour. That's what we are planning to do. We are hoping to go to some of the old plantation ruins and then back to Cruz Bay for lunch and a bit of shopping.
