what will a 21yr old do on board?

My boyfriend and I, our parents and my sister and brother-in-law are sailing on the Victory 5/1. We've talked his 20yr old son to join us but I think he may be a little worried that he'll get bored. He will have turned 21 by the time we sail. Can anyone give us some tips to ensure that he does have a good time other than enjoying himself at the bar a bit too much?

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks,

Terri

Lots of people that age aboard ships. Several clubs with music & dancing or hanging out with friends. Casino or Sports Bar. Pools, gym, internet cafe. One can only be as bored or have as much fun as they want to. :D He should be fine. Go have a great time.

Um, let's see..... Newly 21. Many members of the barstaff wandering the deck. Lots of bars on board. Destinations will have plenty of places to indulge one's thirst.

Nah. He won't drink.

What WON'T there be for him to do would be a better way to ask this question!! There will be so much available he won't be able to find time for everything!

Be sure he attends the singles meet and greet parties. Great way to meet others his age also traveling solo. Also, have you checked out the roll call on these boards? May find others in their early 20's also sailing with you.

Enjoy!

Hmm...probably the same things that I, as new 21 year old, will be doing. Of course, I'll be paying my own S&S bill so...I won't drink...that much! I plan on hanging out by the pool, eating, swimming, eating, going to events, eating, going to shows, eating, going shopping, eating, and so on... As you can tell, I'm all over the cruise food and I'm sure a 21 year old guy would be too!

Thanks for all the tips!! I guess I never realized how much there really is to do. He'll be fine....just a little worried that he'll feel like he's wasted his money if he doesn't have a good time.

The question is more like "what won't he do?" Just kidding. There are tons of activities to do on board. As long as he keeps an open mind, sets out to have fun and open to meeting new people he will have a blast.
