St. Maarten Holidays for 2005

PHILIPSBURG--The Executive Council released the official list



 

 

of thirteen holidays for 2005 on Monday.

 

On the mentioned days, all government offices and other businesses

 

as outlined in the laws will be closed.

 

The holidays are Good Friday (March 25), Easter Sunday (March

 

27), Easter Monday (March 28), Carnival Grand Parade Day

 

(Friday, April 29), Queen’s Birthday (Saturday, April 30), Labour

 

Day (Monday, May 2), Ascension Day (Thursday, May 5), Whit

 

Sunday (May 15), Antilles Day (Friday, October 21), St. Maarten

 

Day (Friday, November 11), Christmas Day (Sunday, December

 

25), Boxing Day (Monday, December 26) and New Year’s Day

 

(Sunday, January 1, 2006).
