Talk to the room steward - butler - waiter - bus boy.

Why........

You find out some very interesting things.

Like they may need something on shore you can get for them and bring back on the ship. Something in addition to their tip at the end.

 

Remember they sometimes have limited time - they do have to sleep.

So going ashore may not fit their schedule or the time the ship is in port.

OR

They may not be scheduled to get off the day in the particular port so.....

 

So just think it over....

I offer use of my cell phone while in Ft. Lauderdale. On Christmas Eve our waiter called his wife in Honduras. That was the best!!

A wonderful idea! Many times you hear about people wanting to give a gift to their room steward, I always reply cash is what is most needed by them. I never thought about a small errand for them, I know I would appreciate something like that.

 

We always make it a point to talk to our stewards/dinig room stewards and any other crew or staff we meet. I think they really enjoy talking of their home, family and country.

Fantastic.

 

Olympic booked on Valentines Day 60 days in advance. Was sold out that night. Service and food were great.

 

Sun every day.

 

Some adventure with the Coast Guard taking off a man with heart problems.

 

Lots of fun and games with the cruise staff.

 

Lost in the King of the Millie.

 

Tied for the win in the pillow pool contest.

 

Resturant and food were top notch as I come to expect.
