Restaurant & beer

You are a walk or a short cab ride from any of the 3 piers to downtown where there are a number of restaurants with good local food. I suggest you search out the "authentic restaurant" threads on these boards for recommendations.

As far a local beer...no craft brews in Cozumel, however, if you ask around you can find Victoria or Indio. Victoria gets a rep as being a "cheesy" beer due mostly to its yellow label and low cost, think of it as a PBR. And it'll still beat the Coronas any day. Indio is similar to Shiner Bock in Texas. Also there are a couple of Yucatan regional beers, Leon and Montejo that can be fouind in some places, you'll have to ask. Leon is a dark amber. Montejo is a lager. But the standard mix of Mexican brews--DosEquis, Tecate, Superior or Bohemia from FEMSA to Negra Modelo, Corona, Pacifico from Grupo Modelo.
