It should not be significantly cooler. Temperatures in the Caribbean do no vary all that much throughout the year.

Key West has average high of 77 and low of 67 in December.

Cozumel has average high of 82 and low of 68.

 

Most likely it will be warm out, but not hot. At nighttime it may be a bit chilly outdoors on the ship as there will be a strong breeze as the ship is sailing, so you may need a sweater, sweatshirt or windbreaker if hanging out on deck at night.

Mid December in SWFL mean daily high temperature is about 75F. However, Key West and below will be warmer. Also, the experts are predicting that this year will be warmer in SWFL.
