Hmmm, last minute packing question, flat iron?

FYI:

Mercury 11/8/10 cruise out of Baltimore -- a table mate had her travel iron confiscated -- it was in her checked luggage and she was told she had a "hazardous material" in her bag and it was taken out. I don't know if she got it when she left the ship at the end of the cruise (I am assuming it was returned to her).

It's not an iron, they aren't allowed. It's basically a curling iron but flat. I actually checked today when verifying my OBC and it's allowed, as well as a hairdresser. It's made for travel, as well, so it takes up significantly less electricity.

 

I hadn't seen it in the online policy before, so I feel like a dunce for asking here. ;)
