Magens Bay or Trunk Bay

I am getting concerned about not having enough time on the beach...Originally we have a jeep rented when we dock in St. Thomas with plans to drive over to St. John/ferry/etc...I just love Trunk Bay....

But.................

I think I can get more beach/relaxing time if we just take a shuttle over to Magens Bay....

I also wanted to browse around Charlotte Amalie shopping...

Do you think I have enough time to do this is we go to Trunk Bay? What would you do????

Just a suggestion, if you go to Trunk Bay enjoy the day and shop at the pier, they pretty much have all the same store's at Havensight.

We went to Trunk Bay on our own on our last cruise. We made it there well before the cruiseline tours so it wasn't crowded at all, stayed for about 3 hours and the ferry we came home on docks right in the shopping area. We had plenty of time to shop and then took a cab back to the ship. We were not rushed at all.

I haven't been to Magen's Bay but have heard that it is quite nice as well.
