Epic Transatlantic May 2011 - Weather?

We did a NYC-Souton in mid-May back in 2006, it was really rather smooth, cool but then we weren't following a southerly route as you probably will. The cruise before us experienced terrible seas so you really can never be sure what kind of weather you will encounter.

I would pack a few lighter layers, a cardigan and nylon windbreaker and light pants and capris, a pair of shorts or two but don't go overboard with shorts. Barcelona will probably be in the 70's in the sun but nights will be cool.

Enjoy your cruise. :)

@rainbowbeach -

Our previous Transatlantic cruises have been in March and April with day temps in the 60s, a little cooler during rainy days. I would not count on anything warmer than that.

If you want to take a look at our pix, you can see what we are wearing. Remember the faces, so that you can say 'Hi' when cross paths in May. :)
