rainbowbeach Posted November 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2010 We are booked on the May 7th-18th Transatlantic Cruise from Miami to Barcelona. we know the weather in Miami will be warm but have no clue what to expect when we enter the Atlantic. Does anyone have any idea? Range of temps to expect? Thanks!
Sauer-kraut Posted November 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2010 We did a NYC-Souton in mid-May back in 2006, it was really rather smooth, cool but then we weren't following a southerly route as you probably will. The cruise before us experienced terrible seas so you really can never be sure what kind of weather you will encounter. I would pack a few lighter layers, a cardigan and nylon windbreaker and light pants and capris, a pair of shorts or two but don't go overboard with shorts. Barcelona will probably be in the 70's in the sun but nights will be cool. Enjoy your cruise. :)
Ask4Jay Posted November 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2010 @rainbowbeach - Our previous Transatlantic cruises have been in March and April with day temps in the 60s, a little cooler during rainy days. I would not count on anything warmer than that. If you want to take a look at our pix, you can see what we are wearing. Remember the faces, so that you can say 'Hi' when cross paths in May. :)
