Do you really need to carry your passports on the islands or just your SeaPass?

We had our passports with us but just needed our SeaPass to get back on the ship.

 

While on other islands, not USVI, do you pay taxis in local currency or US?

If local currency, do you get ahead of time on the ship?

USD will do. They are quite happy to take your money!

 

In St. Thomas, can you walk to the Skyride from the pier?

We did not do this but I believe that it is too far to walk. I think you will need a taxi but I am not 100% positive.

I forgot to ask about the pool/beachtowels to take with you on excursions.....free?

Where do we check them out from?

 

Towels are free. Just go to the booth next to the pool and show your Sea Pass and they will give you as many towels as you want (at least a couple). You may take them off the ship but make sure you return them as you will be charged for them if you do not.

We were going to do a taxi.

Do you advise we do the "luggage valet" offered by RCCL for $10 per person?

 

There are three of us..headed back on Delta at 11:50am departure.

 

We never used the service but many have with great reviews. We were off the ship early and off to the airport within minutes. We were able to take our own bags quite easily.
