In-room dining & menus

I really like the idea of being able to order from the MDR menu through room service, but I have a question. How do you know what's available on any specific night? Do you have to find the menu posted outside the MDR, decide what you want, then go back to your cabin and call in your order?

If you're in a full suite (SC, SB, SA or PH) the menu will be delivered to your stateroom during the afternoon. Anyone else needs to walk over to the dining room - it should be posted around midnight so it'll be there no matter how early you get up in the morning. I always check the menu first thing in the morning - often between 6 & 7am.

Every bar has the menus for the day as well. We often would scope it out while up in the Crows Nest or the Sea View Bar aft on the Lido while roaming the ship.

On the first night of the cruise, ask one of the Maitre"D s to have a dinner menu sent to your cabin on a daily basis.

Suites are automatic delivery. Any other category requires a simple request.

 

If I happened to run into the Maitre D at breakfast in the MDR he sometimes handed me a dinner menu at breakfast.

It's also part of my morning ritual to head down to the MDR and check out the dinner menu for that night. That way I know if I should eat heavy or light during the day. :)
