Fam-of-five Posted December 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2010 Anyone recommend for/against scuba diving on Mallorca or near Alicante, Spain? Any specific recommended dive sites, dive boat operations/shops? My 17 yo DD and I recently became Open Water certified and are thinking it might be fun to do some dives while on our RCI cruise next June (Indpendence of the Sea). We'll have seen enough museums and churches, so something different may be in order. We'll be getting in some dives here in San Diego. And I have a Mexico dive trip planned in the Spring, so while we certainly won't be advanced divers by then, we'll at least have some useful experience. We have 2 days on Mallorca and 1 in Alicante. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Richard
tom_uk Posted December 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2010 I would have said that scuba diving isn't a big thing in the Mediterranean; however, having done a Google search I now learn that there are some scuba diving sites off Mallorca. If you're there for a couple of days, that might be the best bet. Google 'scuba mallorca' and take a look at the results. How it compares with the scuba scene in the Caribbean or off California, I don't know. Perhaps others do.
