Best Beach? Best Shopping? 1st time cruiser

What's the best beach on the island? We are looking for fun stuff to do on the beach - snorkeling, jet skis, etc. Also place for lunch on the beach? Where's the best shopping?

If you want snorkeling, jet skis, wind surfing, para sailing... I'd say Sapphire Beach. When its time for lunch, walk up to the pool side restaurant at Sapphire Village, which is on the hillside behind the marina. The buildings on the beach are Sapphire Resort - there is a restaurant there too, but the one by the pool is better. The bar at Sapphire Beach is good.

 

Shopping; Havensight or Charlotte Amalie.
