Question about show times?

Difficult to answer at this time. The "assigned show time" is something new that they're doing on the new ship. On the older (smaller) ships, it didn't matter at all. But with the larger passenger load on the new ships, and the limited capacity of the theater, it appears this is something they're going to try.

Bottom line is that we probably won't know until the first batches of passengers report back with their experiences.

You can call DCL and ask to be put on the waiting list for the showtime that you want.

As the pp said, the assigned showtimes are a new thing being implemented on the Dream, so no one really knows how strict they will be. I was told by a cast member that they will likely be checking your key card (which will have your showtime listed on it) for access to the theatre. If you just show up for the 8 o'clock show, you could be taking the seat of someone who has that showtime.
