Cabin 5001 on Fantasia, Casino Noise?

We are sailing on the Fantasia and are currently booked in an inside cabin on deck 12. We have the option to upgrade to an outside cabin (not a balcony) on Festive Deck (Deck 5) and the cabin is 5001 . This looks good from the deck plan but it is also right under the toilets that are attached to the Casino (on deck 6). I am concerned we would hear the noise of the passengers walking around the casino all night or is the ship well insulated to stop this noise coming through the ceiling and interrupting sleep?

Hi bennob66

I've only been on the Fantasia once and was on deck 12 and we had no problems with noise in our cabin from above there. I really don't know what the noise level would be like from 5 to 6.There will certainly be a lot of "traffic" in that area before and after the shows. If you go to be early, bear in mind that on med sailings, the show is after dinner (usually 10.45-11.30 or 11.00-11.45. This may also be a consideration for you as well as the casino. Another thing to bear in mind is there could be smoke drifting down the stair area near your cabin. The casino is very very smokey as it is one of the few areas smoking is permitted and ther will be a lot of smokers in there.

Thank you for the reply and the good points to take into consideration. I had not thought of the smoke from the casino coming down the stairway and also the later shows. We are platinum royal carribean members and are taking this cruise as it had an itinerary that we wanted to do and rccl had nothing similar. At this stage we will stay on deck 12 and see what other outside cabins become available. Perhaps in deck 8.

We sailed the MSC Fantasia this summer and as far as I experienced the ship is very good insulated. No sounds whatsover in the cabin except for some modest traffic in the cabin corridor. We were on deck 13. I was in the casino as well and the aircondition system worked so good that the smoke was not a problem. There is a smoking area at deck 6, on Piazza San Giorgio. The smoke was more intense there in my opinion.

MSC Fantasia is a lovely cruiseship with great interiors and decor all the way and the cabins is really great in all categories. We enjoyed MSC and Fantasia so much that we already have booked our next cruise onboard her, in September next year. Then with a little different itinerary and in Yacht Club, can't wait. Whish you a pleasant cruise. :)

Yes on Deck 13 you would not hear any noise as the public rooms are on Deck 6 and 7. Thanks for the insight though. At this stage I am staying with my inside on Deck 12 as I would not risk a noisy cabin under the casino where people WILL party all night

I just got back from cruising on the Fantasia. While I was in 8090 I had cabins above me and to the left and right of me with toliets. Occasionally heard a flush but it was well muffled. I would think you would be fine. Better to take a chance to see outside in my opinion.
