ANY possibility of Resort Day Pass

We are coming by Holland American Cruise on Jan 9 (a Sunday) and are thinking that a resort would be enjoyable since the shopping in Marigot is limited on a Sunday (right?)

Does anyone know of ANY resort that issues day passes during peak season other than the Sonesta? Sadly, our cruise line does not offer a resort break at the Westin (our preferred place) but we would like to swim at a hotel with a pool as nice as at the Westin. Thanks

Am a little confused by your post since you talk of shopping at Marigot. The cruise ships dock near Phillispburg which is the main shopping town on the island. Marigot (which we find charming) is on the other (French) side of the island from the cruise port and has much less shopping than Phillispburg. As to Sundays, everything in Phillipsburg is open 7 days a week during the season.

Thank you Hank:

Yes, I understand the confusion. Our first choice would be to go shopping/eating in Marigot but I'm told that on a Sunday everything is pretty much shut down even DURING tourist season. And we have no interest in hanging out in Phillipsburg, having done that on a prior cruise to St Marteen. Furthermore, since we don't like swimming in the ocean all that much, our options are limited. That's why we're looking for a day pass.
