LHP Posted December 21, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2010 Promenade AFT on the Elation as a small bar that stretches the width. 1/2 is a cigar bar...the other 1/2 is nonsmoking...but they have TVs on both sides that is usually on sports on "sports days".. Rare fb0075 Posted December 21, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted December 21, 2010 But is it open on Embarkation?
LHP Posted December 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 22, 2010 But is it open on Embarkation? Yes, ...even if there is a wedding taking up the AFT lounge (where the Punchline Comedy Club is) .... the Cigar area and nonsmoking side will be open. It isn't a "room" as much as it is just a section you pass through to get to the AFT lounge. Kinda hard to describe...but you will understand when you see it. The TVs have always been on from the minute we stepped onboard....
k2excursion Posted December 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 22, 2010 anywhere on embarkation day that we can watch ESPN--AL/Mich ST until rooms open?????? Because it's ESPN, I wouldn't count on it being available. They carry the 4 major networks, piped in from Denver. But no ESPN in the staterooms, and only ESPN International anywhere else. That International version may or may not carry the games. Past reports haven't been good for ESPN International. Maybe they've got a way to get regular ESPN for special events, but I wouldn't count on it. Set your VCR/DVR.
NavarreCruiser Posted December 22, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 22, 2010 ESPN International does most American sports. The commerical breaks will be in spanish but the annoucers will be the same ones as always. We have watched many sporting events in the lounge the near the back of the Fantasy class ships. The Bartender can change the station too. There are a number of ESPN's that they can get. Lynda P.S. It is true that you can't get it in your cabin.
