jjdc Posted December 23, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 23, 2010 Ours was in the Viking Crown and there werent that many at all actually. Did they use the whole Viking Crown lounge or was there a portion of it that non-Diamond guests could use? It's typically one of my favorite places onboard, but I've not yet made it to Diamond. dixieva Posted December 23, 2010 #7 Share Posted December 23, 2010 In my experience the Diamond Event was all the way in the back of the Viking Lounge. There was a sign to let folks know it was for Diamond members.

ChevyCruiser Posted December 24, 2010 #9 Share Posted December 24, 2010 On the 12/6/10 sailing, the event started out in the Champagne Bar - where it was so crowded that people were leaving without getting inside the stanchions, and the service was very, very slow. It took me over 30 minutes to get a glass of wine ordered and another 15 to receive it. As one person described it "This is the place to be if you want to stop drinking" All this during their highly touted "December Diamond Celebration" After the third night and after receiving numerous complaints (by her own admission), the Loyalty person had it moved to the Viking Crown Lounge. At least we could get seats there, but the service was still slow. Also, the Viking Crown was 1/2 smoking, so be prepared if you are a non-smoker. BTW, The Enchantment was by far the smokiest RCCL ship I've ever seen.
Laid-back Posted December 24, 2010 #10 Share Posted December 24, 2010 On the 12/6/10 sailing, BTW, The Enchantment was by far the smokiest RCCL ship I've ever seen. Hate to hear that. Is it because they don't enforce non-smoking rules or are there just many more smoking areas?
