blippery Posted December 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2010 Can someone who has sailed on the Eclipse share their experience in the suite. I am looking at S2 suite but wondering if noise is a problem. (S-2216) Being from the west coast I would tend to sleep in. It looks like a cafe is above the suites. Any find back on the suites would be appreciated. Thank you.

It seems that almost all of the S2 suites are on the same deck.
Fblack Posted December 27, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2010 I am also from the West Coast. I always fly in at least a day early to try to get the time zone jet lag problem resolved. If your West coast body clock says it wants to sleep until 8:00AM West coast time, it's 11:00AM in Florida. So chances are noise from above at 9:00AM may wake them up. Rare C-Dragons Posted December 27, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2010 We were in suite 2137 on the Eclipse inaugural TA. There was a lot of noise from the Oceanview Cafe above starting in the early morning hours until late at night as the staff were rolling heavy carts across the tiled floors which sounded like "rolling thunder". The suites are very nice, but their location is lousy, since the noise is very aggravating and constantly disturbed us when we were trying to sleep. We will never book an S2 on the Port or Starboard sides of the Resort Deck on a Solstice class ship again. We have also been in an S2 (2148) on the Aft and it was very quiet. P.S. we also like to sleep in until 9 or 9:30 every morning.
blippery Posted December 27, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted December 27, 2010 Even flying in a day early I want the option to sleep a little later when I cruise with a time zone change. It seems that the more expensive rooms should be a good choice but looking at the cafe above the suites I not sure that is the case. I was hoping to avoid any disappointment. blippery Posted December 27, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted December 27, 2010 Thank you for your advise. I see suite 2148 is available. It is so nice to have these boards for advise. I would have been so disappointed. Any other tips.
