What time do the planes land at Maho Beach?

Does anyone know how to find out what time we should be there to watch some planes land and get back to the ship in plenty of time? Thanks.

Shortly after noon seemed to be a pretty good time in November when we were there.

The majority of the bigger jets land sometime after noon and before 4. A couple of hours would be more than enough at Maho so if you plan on 12:30 -2:30 you should see some big jets and have plenty of time to get back to town or the ship before the traffic and bridge openings cause major delays.

... might be a discrepancy or two -- for example, it shows Air France (A340) as daily, but the AF site says no flights on the Wednesday we're in port.

The general statements that early afternoon are best for the larger flights is correct. I also agree that the airport's posted schedule isn't always accurate.

 

For a different approach, you can check the actual real-time arrivals over at Joyce Prince's website. Check it on the day of the week that you will be there the week or two before you travel to see what's actually happening.
