Spirit Big Inside Room Advice

Done quite a few searches, so am fairly informed on the Spirit's big insides.

I have 5035 booked. I skipped on 6035 and 6535 because they have deck 7 above them. 6035 has the 2 restrooms outside of the casino directly above, and 6535 has a restaurant.

I've heard some discussion of stair noise for these rooms, but haven't heard anything about noise from above the rooms on 6.

The casino ( where I will spent a good deal of time ) is on 7, so the ideal room for me would be 6035. Can anyone who has stayed in that room confirm that there is or is not noise from above? The toilets on cruise ships are way loud so looking at the layout, 6035 scared me...

Can't find pictures of 5035. Seen them on the 6 rooms. Cruisedeckplans only has 6535. Anyone have some? I assume a similar layout to the others, but would love pics...

Anyone want to make a case for 5035 vs 6035?

We had 6035, and 6535 last April and didn't hear any noises in the cabin and slept well.....of course a few drinks always makes me sleep soundly. These cabins were very spacious....about 230-240 sq feet I believe.

We have 5035 in March, so I will be able to tell you more after March. 5035 is marked in the NCL database as having vibration issues, but someone on these boards told me they did not have any vibration issues in that cabin, but they did on other places on the ship.

From my research, it looks like all 3 rooms are quite similar. We went for 5035 since it was less expensive than the other 2. We stayed by the stairs on the Sky and didn't have any noise problems. Also, the lower the deck, the fewer the people who need to go down there, so there is less foot traffic.

Good luck with your decision.

What/where is this NCL database you speak of?

Got Tequila?: Thx so much for the room pic and info about deck above and no noise. I'm helping my son and his fiancee with their honeymoon plans. They are considering a May 2011 cruise on Spirit. It is nice to know about this particular deck and noise from deck 6. You are great to post such info. Have a nice day.

It is the one that the NCL reps have access to when you are booking. I booked through a TA and had not heard anything about this. But, when I read a thread from someone else saying they were told by their NCL personal rep (or whatever they are called) that this room was marked as having vibration issues so they recommended the person take a cabin on a higher deck (which also happened to be a more expensive cabin). I was wondering if the statement was true, or if the rep was on commission and was simply looking for a higher commission (sorry - the pessimist in me comes out). I asked my TA to verify and she came back a day later saying that yes, the NCL rep she talked to did verify the note. I thought it was interesting that no one bothered to tell her about the note when she called to book me for that cabin. After much research, I decided to stay in 5035. We'll see if I was wrong when I get back.

That's interesting. I guess they keep notes from customers comment cards or complaints. I am in a far aft large inside on deck 9 in Feb. and I am concerned about vibrations as well. That's why this thread caught my interest. We sailed on the Spirit last Feb amd my sister had 5035 and she didn't mention anything about vibrations, nor outside stair noise. It's a huge cabin.:) I still can't find anyone who has had 9703 though.:(
