LAX to Long Beach Public transport

Has anyone attempted this journey? Looking at shuttles and they are coming in at like $100 for the return journey which is a little more than I would like to pay.

Is that for round trip? For how many people? I am looking for this also for just 2 of us on 2/26 to Long Beach Holiday Inn & 3/6 going back to LAX from the cruise terminal.

My DD and SIL took public transportation from LAX to Long Beach when they were 21 and 20 and traveling on their honeymoon. How sweet. They wanted to do it all on their own, limited budget, and they didn't need any help.

 

We laugh about it now, but they went thru areas of town with their luggage, that no out of town, nieve, no street smarts, all alone, people should go. It does go thru gang country where the color of your hat, your shirt, etc can get you shot.

 

Honestly,,, pay the money.

Last time we used PrimeTime shuttle. IIRC, it was about $20 a head.

We didn't use public transport, but we just did this trip. Used the Carnival Shuttle for like $26.00 pp. Took about 30 minutes, only had to wait about 5 minutes on the bus. It was nice!
