Why don't you call the hotel and ask them? They would have a pretty good idea of cab fare. BTW, you'll like the Westin Diplomat!

From hotel website "Follow signs in either airport for ground transportation and taxi service. Fares range from $60 to $80 one way to/from Miami International and from $25 to $35 one way to/from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport."

Don't forget to factor in the $20 a day parking if you are planning on renting a car.

In November, we did the reverse of your question. Took a cab from Westin Diplomat, Hollywood, to FLL airport for our flight back home. Cab fare was $24.00 plus tip. Cab fare is based on mileage, not on time in cab. Hope this helps!:p What port are you sailing from. Cab fare from Westin Diplomat to POM will be quite expensive, and having a car at your disposal may something else to consider.
