Go to another island from st. croix

Can you take a boat or water taxi to another island ? we are in st.croix from 8 to 5 and already snorkeled Buck island. looking for something else to do.

There are no other islands close enough to make a day trip and no public ferry to take you anywhere. Look at a map.:)

You could take the sea-plane to St. Thomas, but that would be pushing it time-wise.

You could:

Wander around Christiansted, which is pretty neat.

Rent a car and drive the entire island - the far East end is quite stark compared to the West end. Drive Mahogany (what they call the rainforest), stop at places along the way. Just remember driving is on the other side...

Go to Cane Bay and snorkel right from shore.

 

St Croix is really nice - lots to do. Just look around.
