I am staying the IC downtown on Feb 4 to 6th.On saturday afternoon we are taking the bus to SB for the day.We want to do a little beach time and some sight seeing by foot and then later some supper and people watching. What area of SB do we need to go to that is the best place for a saturday afternoon and early evening. Then we will be taking the taxi back down to the IC and getting ready for our cruise. We just don't know anything about SB. We re mid forties and our hard party days are behind us. Thanks

I did that Halloween. Stayed at the IC Miami and took the bus into South Beach to Lincoln Road Mall. Plenty of great trendy places to sit outside and drink and eat and people watch.

Did you take the bus back?? If so how did that go?? Thanks

Go to the beach in front of the Ritz-Carlton, Delano, Doubletree Surfcomber etc because they have the best beach services. You can rent nice chaise lounges and umbrellas and the local hotels will provide drink services.

Around five-ish, walk up to the Delano (be in dressy beach attire) and head to the pool bar for mojitos. If there are celebrities or big names by the pool, they will make you go around to the front entrance of the hotel and go through there to get to the pool. This isn't a bad thing because you get to see the hotel and after 13 years, it is still stunning.

Have dinner on Lincoln Road Mall.

I usually wear a cool sundress, heels, large shades, and big earings and wear it straight to dinner. Men aren't allowed in the Delano (and many places) after 5PM in shorts.

Most of the dressier places are super expensive and don't open until 6 or 7PM.
