Anyone stay at the Conrad recently?

I like it. The place is upscale, has a nice casino, a couple of nice restaurants and lounge areas on site, 3 pools, a swim up bar, and it borders a small public beach in a cove (hotel guests can get free chairs). The ocean side is rocky, but the grounds are very nice and well-maintained. It is an easy walk to a sandy oceanfront beach and downtown shops and restaurants. They have taxi's waiting out front if you want to ride into downtown OSJ. You can see the Pan Am pier across the harbor (in the distance). If you stay there on nights when ships depart, you may get a nice view of the ships sailing along the coast about an hour after they depart.

The rooms are clean and modern. We had a balcony room that overlooked the city. There are oceanfront rooms as well.
