Enough time to see Seward?

We will be arriving late afternoon on a Saturday in ANC, ship departs out of Whittier Monday afternoon/evening. Obviously, there will be unsufficient time to get to Seward Saturday and it appears it is a 3 hour drive from Anchorage, so in you opinion, do we have enough time to see Seward as we would have to go there Sunday and leave again on Monday. I hate getting rushed so may be bad to start the cruise this way. Thanks.

Take your time driving down on Sat and spend the weekend in Seward.Won't get dark till really late(if really at all) and there's lots to do and see here.Otherwise,Yes drive down on Sunday, spend the night and drive back on Mon. Either way it's a beautiful drive you won't regrett.....http://www.sewardak.org/

Since you want to drive, I strongly suggest you rent a one way Avis Car Anchorage/Whittier so you don't have to back track and will make better use of your short time. I suggest you figure out your travel time and make the most of your desired tours in Seward. With the Kenai Fjords boat trips my top pick. You will want at least 6 hours on the water, not the short tours if of interest.
