Zimmy Posted January 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2011 What type of entertainment is offered,,can t tell by brochure,,,are there shows with singing,,,just a band,,,etc////also,,what time do shows start??Can you tell me hours for dining??Will be first timer in May,,,;) We just got off the Sojourn yesterday; we were also first timers. We were absolutely surprised and delighted with the entertainment. There were four singers who were terrific, but I know that their contract is up in February so I don't know what will be for May. There is a dance couple who are good. There were several other entertainers who were each there for one night only, also pretty good. And we do not normally enjoy the entertainment on a ship; we generally go the first night and then are so disappointed that we never go back. There is also good entertainment in the bars - at least on the larger ship. Dinner was 7 to 9 on our cruise. I don't know whether that is standard for all the ships. wripro Posted January 7, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2011 Shows usually start at 10 on SB too.
Zimmy Posted January 7, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2011 The shows generally started at 10. I think one was at 10:30 and the last night was at 9:30. One night the show was before dinner, at 6:15. Dinner was 7 to 9, and there weren't a lot of people in the dining room on the early side, so it really would be difficult to start the shows earlier. The shows usually lasted about 45 minutes. thesky13 Posted August 19, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2011 The live bands/singers on board - what genre of music can I expect?
alexandra cruiser Posted August 19, 2011 Author #7 Share Posted August 19, 2011 really enjoyed the bands and singers,,,mostly oldies, pop, soft rock and roll types,,no R and B,,or heavy metal,,,to appeal to mostly older age group,,but we liked it and loved the dancing couple featured....tangos,swing,etc... Loved the cruise,in general,,good luck...:D
