Dry Docks Skywalkers?

OK I haven't been on the boards for a while and have read a thread that says they are removing Skywalkers on the Grand, is this so? If so why?

 

If any of you have saved the links for what is being done on drydocks this year, I would greatly appreciate it if you would post the links in this thread.

I have also read that Skywalker's is being removed when in drydock. Is it being completely removed or is the function of the room being changed. I can't understand why they would want to remove the structure completely. However, Skywalkers has been under used as a nightclub on several of my cruises. So I am hoping they will use the room for something else if the nightclub is out. I like going there during the day to read.

There are a few threads on this subject. If you click on search this forum which is top right of the page, then type in grand refit you will see all the links.

It would seem that the structure of the 'pram handle' is no longer secure and needs to be pulled down. There is a list of the improvements on one of the threads.
