warmwinds Posted January 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2011 Do the VP machines automatically "HOLD" the correct cards for you, and you then have to "unhold" them if you want to do something different (or be very careful not to unhold them if you want to keep what they suggest). I thought I had seen these machines on land but someone told me they had only seen them on cruise ships, and I'm trying to figure out if that's where I saw them, too. I haven't seen them on the Summit. But be careful -- there is nothing known as a "correct" hold. Some machines may hold cards that will give you a payout -- but that does NOT MEAN THE CORRECT HOLD. For example: You have ace of spade, king of spade, queen of spade, jack of spade, and jack of diamonds. What is the "correct hold"? The machine will hold a pair of jack since it guarantees a payout. But is this what you will do?
Rare silentbob007 Posted January 10, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2011 Yes there were some machines like this on Millennium. They were even pretty good at holding the proper cards over a guaranteed payout.
