Cruising while pregnant

I just found out I am pregnant (7 weeks). I am on the FOS Western Caribbean cruise from Feb 6-14. I've already had an initial visit with my OB and he says all is good and have fun on the cruise! I'm curious to hear about experiences on a cruise while pregnant. I should be close to 10 weeks by the that time.

Congratulations! You're probably over the nausea by now, if not, they say to eat a lot of small meals, which is the perfect thing to do on a cruise! My kids are teenagers now, but not only did I cruise while pregnant, but I breastfed both aboard in the main dining room!

The only issue I had was "self induced". I went on a shore excursion, got a little too much sun, thought eating potato chips might make me feel less woozy, and ending up almost passing out---and feeding a lot of fish off of St Thomas.

 

So don't over-expose to the sun, and have a great time!

No real difference to cruising non-pregnant. Enjoy yourself. You'll make your monies worth at the buffet.

That's a great suggestion since some women discover their skin is more sensitive to the sun than usual during pregnancy!
