Texting to the Carribean

Hi all what code is the Carribean for texting or is each area different? :confused:

when I text my daughter to or from the Carribean I just text her as i do when she is in England. (I have her number in my phone)

Never have a problem,

the service does move about from island to island.

I have all my friends and family numbers programmed in starting +44 then drop first 0 then rest of number (including dialling code) as normal. I don't know if this is necessary for texting but it is the international dialling code for the UK if you need to phone someone at home while you are abroad.

 

You just need to be aware of the four hour time difference and tell your family or friends, I had some texts come through at some very early times in the morning as 10a.m. in the UK is 6a.m. in the Caribbean!

Just remember to turn your phone off when at sea or you will be charged for any texts that you receive. Another way for Thomsons to make money.
