FPP777 Posted February 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2005 My two daughters will be 5 and 6 when we cruise. Their cousins who are in their teens will be on the ship also. I understand that I can put a cash balance on their Sea Pass card, but can they use it if they cant sign their name? For example, if all the children wanted to go to Johnny Rockets and I preferred my children pay for their own, how do they do that if they cant sign? Thanks
kitty9 Posted February 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2005 Unless I'm really wrong, I don't think a child that young can have a sign and sail card and actually use it. Five and six is a little young for things like that. I think the thing to do is for you to go with them and pre-pay for their meal with their cousins, and then you can leave. ineedacruise Posted February 28, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2005 The teens would be fine with the sea pass but I would not allow a child so young to have a card.
pd933 Posted February 28, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2005 We sailed with our 4 and 7 year old and RCCL would not activate the kids cards for purchases.
FPP777 Posted March 1, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted March 1, 2005 Thanks for the reponse. It all makes sense. I was just looking for a way to give them a little independence... Maybe next time... Thanks again
deesouza Posted May 29, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 29, 2005 Give them the unactivated card, let them think they have a little freedom and see how they do. Then next time, when they are like 9-10 years old, let them buy the whole ship! Why not, it's only money!!!!
