ATV tour - fun for advanced riders?

We are trying to decide on something to do in St. Croix and are considering the Gecko ATV tour. It sounds like those who have done this tour have had a lot of fun, but I am wondering if it will be as much fun for experienced riders? We own several ATVs and our kids ride them at our cabin. When I look at their website it shows everyone riding in a single file line. Is this a very slow pace, where you just passively follow the leader (like you do when you go horseback riding) or do you have the option of going fast and not necessarily following right behind the guide?

Thanks for your help!

We did this last week and had a blast. We are not experienced riders, only been on them a few times. You do ride in a line and one of the rules is that there is no speeding a head of the guide/no passing, but we were going very fast at times. If your whole group is experienced and go fast, that is between you and the guide. There are some challenging spots, it is dusty but you do go through a subtropical rain forest too, you do stop and see some sites a long the way, the views are amazing and it was fun.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

It will be good, due to the change of scenery. But the ATV will be just a vehicle, not the sole source of entertainment. When we went, there were a few mud holes you could aim for and some latitude to hang back and catch back up in line. But no hot dogging, racing, or serious offroading. It can also depend on if your whole group is one party or mutiple families.

Enjoy. Good trip and a some great view from up top. City, country, rain forest, mountainside, beachside - all in one trip.
