Dartmoordan Posted January 15, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2011 I read on another forum that Fred are going to introduce a fuel Surcharge as a percentage of the total fare. So if you book a higher grade cabin then you pay more than someone in a lower grade cabin. Just wondered what you all thought, I'm against it as everyone is sailing the same distance. This new way of charging starts on January 19th.
MrsTW Posted January 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2011 An excellent explanation here of what the increase means  http://www.ilovecruises.co.uk/2011/01/15/huge-rise-in-fred-olsen-fuel-surcharge-from-wednesday/ That a huge increase on top of the cruise price and why should it be linked to what you pay? Any supplement should be equal and have a limit IMHO. I've been debating between a P&O cruise and a FO one.................guess which one I shall be booking. :D
