Virgin Gorda

Has anyone gone to the Baths in Virgin Gorda. Is it really worth it or is it packed with people from cruise ships? Does it interfere with the Seabourn picnic or can you do both? This would be in late March.

We skipped the picnic once, and took a cab to the Baths. They were quite spectacular, and it was not the least bit crowded. The rock formations are stunning, and it's very quiet and peaceful. I know that lots of folks like the caviar event at the beach, but we never lacked for food, drink or caviar onboard, and we didn't want to miss the Baths. I highly recommend it. It was quite a spectacular drive as well, with some killer views. Lots of photo ops.

 

It's also marina day, but again, if you are in BVI,, you might as well see some of its innate beauty. Marina day will go until about 3:30, so likely you could do both. The picnic, however, will be difficult to include, as it's a shorter window of time.

 

Incidentally, if you decide to go to the Baths, be sure to get off at the first tender with the morning shore excursions, at the north end of the island, and get your cab from there. Otherwise, you will end up having to take a tender from the South end to the Club, and a boat to the mainland from the Club, which eats up quite a bit of time. The cab ride itself is about a half hour to the Baths.

Agree.....going to the "Baths" is a fun experience.

 

Note, however, that the uphill climb for your return to the coach/van area requires decent mobility.
