Clamshell or Kayaking in GSC??

Anyone do the Kayaking in GSC? Was it rigorous? beautiful? Peaceful? Trying to decide whether to get a clamshell with DH or go off alone on a Kayak. DH would likely be fine but likely wouldn't spend for a clamshell on his own. If it was really a great trip I would do it without him but if we do the clamshell what comes with it - just the chairs and umbrella?

the chairs are available to everyone, free of cost, so don't factor that into your clamshell decision. The clamshell rental is just that- the clamshell. I haven't done the kayaking (I don't think they had it when I was there in June) so I can't help you there, other than to say that the water was really lovely, so I'd imagine the kayaking to be nice.

Also, there was some shade, but not tons, and of course as the position of the sun changed, so did the shade.... so if shade is important to you or your husband, you might consider the clamshell.

Sorry I'm not much help!
