remdog Posted January 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2011 We are travelling with our kids (10 &12). We have snorkeled a few times with them before, but we tend to stick to 'easy' snorkeling locations, such as a nice quiet bay where you can get to the snorkeling spot via a very short swim from the beach--are there any places like this on St-Thomas? thx
SuzyQ123 Posted January 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2011 Coki beach is great for snorkeling. The water is so clear you don't even need snorkel gear! It is not that deep and very close to shore. The rest room facilities are not the greatest, although we were there in November and the taxi's did not want to take us because they were redoing the site. Hopefully they are improving the restroom facilities, however, despite the facilities this has been our favorite beach in St Thomas for past 20+ years. The last we were there was June 2010. Maybe someone has been there in the past 6 months and can comment on the facilities?! We go again in 3 weeks, so I'm looking forward to visiting Coki!:)
