I have been checking the boards for ‘Princess’ almost daily for the past month hoping someone, anyone, on the Manaus, Brazil to FLL, Jan 5th cruise would post something about their experiences, how they liked the ship and crew, the Princess chartered flight to Manaus – anything. But not a word. We are booked on this cruise Dec 30, 2011 and wood like any heads up we could get. We’re not the only one, others have posted on the cruise roll call asking questions with no response. It’ like nobody was on the cruise. Would sure like something to read!

I did a LIVE when we took these Manaus cruises in March and April of 2009; back to back. Do a search and perhaps you can get a bit of insight.

 

Pacific Princess itself is a great little ship; we've sailed on her four times for a total of 112 days and scheduled to be on her again in October for another 28 days.

The crew on now will almost all be gone by December.

 

We did the b2b just before Pia and everything was great on our cruise. We have also been on the small ship a number of times and think they are great.

 

There can be large variations in the Roll Calls for the same cruise. When we went in February and March of 2009, we had four or six people on the Roll Call. So there were no activities and few people to comment during and after the two cruises. Pia went right after us and I believe she had a large and active roll call.

 

Also, there were quite a few that, like Pia and me, did a b2b rather than flying to or from Manaus.

I have a copy of your post from back in 2009, but times and crews change also would have liked info on the chartered flight. Have heard different stories. By the way thanks for a great review post on the cruise, as I said I have copied it.

Just realized I had OOPS'd. We'll be on the Ocean in October; we board the Pacific in November for 31 days. You Wisc will be getting on when we get off in Dec. We'll take good care of her for you and I promise not to break the bank in the casino. :D
