Promenade Stateroom Question

We are sailing on the Freedom of the Seas and have booked a promenade stateroom on the 8th floor. I have looked on the Royal website for a virtual tour and cannot clearly see the 8th floor rooms. My question is....are the 8th floor windows bowed like the rooms on the 6th and 7th floor? Thanks for any answer to this question!

The 8th deck promenade room windows are "tilted" downward, since they're higher up. This allows you to see better looking down.

Thanks for the response...can you tell me why you would have preferred the 8th floor? We are booked on 8th floor and were thinking of moving down one floor. We are also right beside the elevator...anyone ever felt that makes for more noise????

I was just in PR 6603, deck 6, Navigator. Close to elevator, one floor up from

Promenade. Easy access to both. Cabin was quiet and could be

made extremely dark.

Only sound was slight sound during first parade, not objectionable

at all and the TV was louder. No sound from elevators being about 5 cabins

away.

My guess is the 8th 'floor' might be too high to see much? I liked

being close to aft elevators but didn't get a great view of the center section of the Promenade being so far back.

Enjoy your cruise.
