I have a cruise booked on the FOS and have been reading the "Roll Call" for my sailing. Through my reading I have discovered many people have booked the cruise using a "major warehouse store" for a significant discounted price plus lots of freebies. I understand how the freebies are offered, but I didn't think anyone could offer discounted rates on cuises. I am just curious........I feel frustrated at what they are paying versus what I am paying......not really, I am feeling JEALOUS!!!!! :o

TA's are not allowed to discount RCI cruises, they are allowed to offer some incentives. HOWEVER, if they booked a bunch of rooms when the price was lower, they can continue to sell the rooms within that group at the price prevailing when they booked the group

While not a "warehouse" store, but some TA can buy cabins at a group rate and sell them for such. That may explain your price difference.

Contrary to what some people have said on this thread there is a wholesale club that has special agreements with major cruiselines that allow them to discount cruises. Also, they offer OBCs.

Correct..and they advertise to their members..Hard to believe there are still some people who have one of these in or near their city and don't have a membership..we shop there often buying everything from perscription glasses-gas-Xmas trees...love their $1.50 hot dog & coke....;)

Maybe I belong to the wrong "major warehouse store". Whenever I compare prices they are exactly the same as I can get by booking directly with the cruise line.

 

I do enjoy the $1.50 Hot Dog & Coke though. :D
